USCIS Has Issued Updated Timeline Reports

USCIS in the last couple of days, has updated their timeline processing reports for all service centers.  Below is a summary of some of the Highlights.

I-140s

For I-140’s, Nebraska, which was processing all I-140s in 4 months, now has a 5 month  processing timeline for EB-2 NIWs and EB-1A (EA)s.  I think this is easily attributable to the fact that they are now handling ALL EB-1A (EA) cases nationwide.

On the other hand, Texas is now saying that they are up to August 4, 2015 on EA (not to far behind Nebraska, so the chances are that they will stop sending all EB-1A’s to Nebraska – that is if the dates they have given are actually accurate).  Surprisingly, the EB-2 NIW dates jumped to June 4, 2015 from April, 2015 – considering there are still plenty of cases from April and May that have not been adjudicated, and considering that checking with USCIS even a couple days prior to this shift only resulted in them saying that they are not yet past the posted date I am very skeptical that they are actually even close to processing all cases up to and including June 4, 2015.  This seems to be more of a target date than an actual real current date.

I-485s

Work based I-485 application at Texas did not see much movement – they are now in May, 2015 as opposed to April 2015.  However it is good to see that they are at least moving forward.

Nebraska is holding steady at 4 months.

I-129 H-1Bs

In terms of H-1B application, Vermont now says they are up to June 15, 2015 for extensions.  Surprisingly, for new applications they are up to September 17, 2015.

California is at June 25th for extensions and July 22, 2015 for new cases.

Why there is a huge gap between these categories for Vermont, and why they are still so behind on H-1B extensions we still do not know.  However, as I stated in this blog post, I am sure they are making quite a bit of extra revenue because of this issue from cases being upgraded to premium processing.
